Opportunity:
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - Anesthesia
Job Details:
Provide locum anesthesia coverage for employee leaves and vacations in a Level 1 trauma center
Work flexible day shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours with no on-call or weekend requirements
Work under supervision managing adult patients and a limited pediatric population
Deliver anesthesia care for a variety of inpatient surgical procedures including general surgery, neurosurgical cases, and deep sedation/MAC
Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff including RNs, surgical technologists, and anesthesia technicians
Provide preoperative assessments and patient education
Administer anesthetics safely and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures
Manage ventilation and oversee physician-administered regional anesthesia
Respond to patient emergencies in coordination with the healthcare team
Document patient care and anesthesia management accurately in Epic EMR
Participate in ongoing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Must have current NBCRNA certification and active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Must hold an active Michigan RN License at time of presentation
