Job Description
South-Central Washington (30 minutes West of Tri-cities, WA & 45 minutes East of Yakima, WA), all-CRNA group desires an independent (1099), well-rounded CRNA to join our team; due to expansion of service lines, we have one slot to fill.
Cases Type: ENT ("healthy peds"), Ortho (arthroplasties and arthroscopies), Urology, General Surgery, OB-GYN, Podiatry, Spine, & Abundant Endoscopy.
OB deliveries are 70+/month; epidural rate 60% via EPCA/PIEB infusions.
Hard Skills required: GA, "MAC", Spinals, Epidurals, Peripheral and Truncal Nerve Blocks; Central Lines & invasive monitoring (infrequent).
Essential Soft Skills: Work Ethic, honesty, solid communication with others (surgeons, patients, ancillary and regular staff). Ability to understand and constantly assess available resources in a Critical Access Hospital.
CRNA's serve on committees, and we are a well-respected part of the team. The hospital is financially healthy and is in the process of building a new ASC facility.
EPIC-EMR for documentation; with remote access available.
We have a set-schedule, to be rotating approximately 3 weeks-on/ 1 week-off, 2 weeks-on/ 1 week-off (approximately 15 weeks not on the schedule).
Night call is a separate shift from 1700 to 0700. Night call is arranged to be a contiguous run of nights from Friday (which begins with a regular shift), covers the weekend, then the "night-run" begins on Monday evening 1700 - 0700 until Friday a.m. This position arrives to begin relieving crew from their OR and covers all anesthesia needs for the night. Typically the run of nights will end on the same Friday a.m. that the time-off begins.
Second-call position is typically in a 'Lead" position for the day, wherein one will provide Pre-op nerve blocks, preanesthetic consults, PACU management, breaks and cover OB service while main ORs (5 rooms) are running. At 1700, the 2nd-Call will then work with the night call to begin relieving crew from the OR, and will function as a back-up resource to the night-coverage partner. This position is typically the first to peel off the following day as schedule permits.
All shifts are equally shared between CRNA's (i.e., everyone has the same amount of primary call, post-call, etc) on an ongoing basis. Callback response time is 30 minutes.
Compensation is approximately $385K+ annually (1099). The hospital does have a W2 option upon request.
Malpractice covered by hospital.
Relocation and sign-on negotiable.
Preference for previous independent experience, yet we will entertain the right motivated candidate, including & especially a new graduate. Of course, bilingual-Espanol is highly desired.
This is a solid, quality of life position, and you will be part of a solid team of providers. This hospital is busy, this is NOT a "retirement" position.
