This is a high-acuity hospital-based role with strong OR volume and structured night coverage. Practice Details: • General, OB, Neuro, and Orthopedic cases • MD-supervised care team model (approximately 1:4 ratio) • MDs also perform their own cases • Epic EMR • 20 anesthesia rooms • Resignation-based coverage need (high urgency fill) Schedule: • Required in-house night float: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM • Day shifts may be paired with night coverage responsibilities • Overtime expected • Temporary privileges available (30–60 days) Additional Details: • 12-week assignment • 90-day standard credentialing timeframe • No candidates needing state licensure accepted • Travel assistance, lodging support, and malpractice coverage included Requirements: • ABA Board Certified Anesthesiologist • Completion of accredited Anesthesia Residency • Active Virginia license required • Comfortable with night float and high-acuity inpatient coverage This is an excellent opportunity for anesthesiologists seeking a high-volume academic-style environment with structured night coverage and strong procedural variety in coastal Virginia.
