UPMC Western Maryland is a voluntary nonprofit, short term acute care hospital with 240 Medicare certified beds and a member of the Western Maryland Health System.
Case Assignments
Cases include, but are not limited to, Ortho, General, Neuro, Vascular, and OB/GYN with a care team model.
CRNA's are encouraged to perform regional blocks at this location.

UPMC Western Maryland has a strong team of CRNA's and MD's that work together seamlessly. The facility offers a variety of cases for CRNA's to keep their skills up, with flexible scheduling and the option to pick up extra shifts.
Schedules Include:
• 8's, 10's, 12's and 24's (when available)
• In house call and beeper call is available
Area Attractions:
• Located in historic downtown area
• Drivable distance to 3 major cities: Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Washington DC
• Near a variety of local state parks including Rocky Gap State Park and Green Ridge State Forest
• Various outdoor recreational activities including hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, skiing, and golfing

Responsibilities
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Requirements
• Current license as a registered professional nurse
• Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
• Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
Total Rewards
Salary: $125.00 hr. - $129.81 hr. ($250K-$270K annualized)
