About the Practice:
A well-established and respected anesthesia group in the beautiful San Luis Obispo, California area is seeking motivated CRNAs for autonomous part-time and full-time positions. The group provides anesthesia services exclusively for gastrointestinal (GI) procedures. CRNA autonomy and expertise are valued.
Opportunity:
There are immediate part-time and full-time CRNA job openings offering fully autonomous case management for GI procedures. These roles offer no call, nights, or weekends. The practice averages 20 cases per day across three operating rooms. The typical full-time schedule includes three 11-hour shifts per week. Flexible shift options are available. Applications from Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists (SRNAs) are welcome. Some CRNAs at this facility also work at other locations to gain additional case variety.
Responsibilities:
Independently administer and manage anesthesia for a high volume of gastrointestinal (GI) procedures.
Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia patient assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans.
Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic delivery as needed to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Provide safe and effective emergence and post-anesthesia care.
Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
Collaborate effectively with gastroenterologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in California (or eligibility for licensure).
Certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) 1 or eligibility to sit for the certification exam (for SRNAs).
Strong clinical skills and the ability to independently manage anesthesia for GI procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and make sound clinical judgments.
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
