Job Description

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) functions as an integral member of the anesthesia care team and practices under the medical direction of anesthesiologists to provide safe, high-quality, and patient-centered anesthesia services. The provider delivers care to patients across all acuity levels in a variety of clinical settings, including surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures. LOCATIONS: • Piedmont Augusta • Piedmont Atlanta • Piedmont Henry • Piedmont Newnan • Piedmont Fayette • Piedmont Macon • Piedmont Rockdale MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA): Graduation from a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (or its predecessor) MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Applicants at all experience levels are encouraged to apply. This position is open to new graduates who demonstrate a commitment to learning, professional growth, and delivering high-quality patient care within a collaborative team environment. MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: For CRNAs: Current Georgia CRNA license (or eligible and willing to obtain Georgia licensure) Certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required 1099: Must have or be willing to obtain a professional corporation (PC) or professional limited liability company (PLLC) Medical Malpractice Covered Minimum assignment length- 3 months Maximum assignment length – 12 months KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES • Ability to perform clinically as part of an anesthesia care team • Ability to operate, use, and interpret data from a wide variety of equipment to perform anesthesia care as well as necessary perioperative or operating room care to support the safety and well-being of the patient while they are under the direct care of the CRNA or PA-AA • Effective verbal and written communication skills are required to collaborate with various clinical staff and other disciplines • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient population(s) served • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s requirements relative to his or her population-specific and age specific needs • Knowledge of infection prevention and control techniques • Ability to maintain confidential records • Ability to implement and adhere to facility policies and procedure • Facilitate the timely delivery of care and efficient function of the OR Disclaimer The above information is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
