CRNA (General) - Job description
JOB SUMMARY:
Administers anesthesia and anesthesia-related care from pre-anesthetic patient assessment and evaluation through post-anesthetic patient follow-up, evaluation and care, formulating and carrying out anesthetic patient care plans in collaboration/consultation with anesthesiologists & surgeons to facilitate quality patient care, comfort and satisfaction during diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical procedures.
Certification/Registration/Licensure:
• Must be a graduate of a Nurse Anesthesia Program accredited by the Council of Nurse Anesthesia (COA) or
its predecessor.
• RN license or Compact RN license.
• Must have a current license or temporary authorization (interim approval not to exceed 120 days from date of
issuance) as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with authorization to practice as a Certified
Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the Texas Board of Nursing.
• Healthcare Provider CPR (CPR-HP) certification
• (ACLS) certification.
• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the National Board of Certification & Recertification for
Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
Practice Description
• Type of practice setting: Hospital and out-patient surgery center
• Type of patient population: All ages
• Scope of work: All cases except Cardio thoracic and infants.
• Schedule: 7a – 4p M-F
• 2 Average late days per week until 7pm - $200hr. additional comp for after 4pm
• No Call, No Weekends, No Holiday
• What other providers/Surgeons will they be working with- Orthopedic, ENT, general surgeon, ophthalmology,
GI, neurosurgery.
• Electronic Medical Record system- EPIC
Compensation & Benefits
• Salary- Base pay of $330,000 (FT) with total worked compensation estimated at $375,447 with Anticipated late shifts
Total compensation $416,971.
• Late hours after 4pm - $200.00 hr.
• Quality Incentive bonus- Yes, 4% of base
• Malpractice insurance and tail coverage provided.
• Benefits offered: Health/dental, life insurance, short/Long Term disability,
• Retirement- 401k (with a match of 4%)
• PTO - 30 days/year, includes CME, Sick, vacation, and Holiday. Option to take 10 extra days of PTO.
• CME allowance- 2,500.00/yr.
