Salem Health is seeking a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join a collaborative anesthesia team at Salem Hospital. CRNAs provide anesthesia care for a wide range of surgical and procedural cases while working alongside anesthesiologists and fellow CRNAs in a team-based model. The position supports a high-acuity surgical program at a 644-bed, not-for-profit medical center and Level II Trauma Center.
The anesthesiology department provides services across multiple specialties including trauma, neurosurgery, spine, orthopedics, cardiothoracic, pediatrics, vascular, and general surgery. Providers practice in a collaborative environment with experienced anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and surgical teams.
Responsibilities
Provide anesthesia care for surgical and procedural cases across multiple specialties.
Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop anesthetic plans.
Administer and monitor anesthesia during procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses, and perioperative staff.
Document anesthesia care within the electronic medical record.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
Current, unrestricted Oregon CRNA license or ability to obtain prior to start.
Certification through the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
Current ACLS and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association.
Demonstrated competency with at least 500 anesthetics within the past 24 months.
Additional Information
Minimum two years of acute care surgical experience preferred.
