Job Description
Types of cases:
Majority of cases are ortho and outpatient. About 10% neuro, 10% open heart, 20% peds
The locum providers generally are placed in the rooms with ortho, general, B&B cases. They do not put the locums in the crani’s, cardiac rooms.
This is Monday-Friday work only. Locum providers do NOT take call.
Work schedules vary and consist of:
• 8-hour shift: 6am-2:30pm
• 10-hour shift: 6am-4:30pm
Setting:
• CRNA’s are supervised 80%
• Average monthly caseload ranges 800-1,000 cases
• Labor epidurals are provided by the anesthesiologists. CRNA’s work c-sections and must feel comfortable with spinals.
• Charting: Paper
